  • How can I participate in a PECO Energy Assessment?

  • Who is eligible to participate in a PECO Energy Assessment?

    All PECO residential electric customers are eligible to receive an Energy Assessment.

  • When can I schedule an Energy Assessment?

    For your convenience, appointments are available Monday through Friday with a limited number of Saturday appointments. Energy Assessments typically take between one to two hours to complete. To schedule an appointment, call 888-573-2672 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.

  • Who will perform the Energy Assessment?

    PECO's partner CLEAResult performs all assessments. To help you verify that the CLEAResult employees are working with PECO, they will have PECO business cards, PECO shirts and PECO identification badges and arrive in a PECO-branded vehicle.

  • How much does the Energy Assessment cost?

    At a $200 value, the Energy Assessment costs PECO customers just $49.

  • How do I pay?

    You can pay by credit card when booking online or when speaking with a PECO Energy Efficiency Contact Center Representative at 888-573-2672 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.

  • Why is PECO offering this program?

    As part of the Pennsylvania Act 129 program, PECO is required to reduce the overall electric consumption of its customers by five percent during the next five years. To achieve that goal, the Public Utility Commission (PUC) approved a PECO plan that created several energy efficiency programs, including In-Home Assessments.

  • How long will PECO offer this program?

    Programs are currently available through May 31, 2026. However, funds are limited, and programs may be changed or terminated, so act today. Rules and rebates may change and funds are subject to availability.

  • What are the qualifications of the energy advisors and participating contractors?

    PECO energy advisors are experienced in residential energy conservation, construction and building diagnostics, and have been trained to Building Performance Institute (BPI) standards. Most are either certified by BPI and/or the Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET). Participating contractors are professional contractors licensed in Pennsylvania and have provided references, qualifications and evidence of insurance.

  • Who is responsible for the work and products I buy?

    Warranties for products you purchase as a result of the audit will be provided by their manufacturer. Warranties on workmanship are provided by the contractor you select.
    PECO does not warrant products or workmanship.

  • Is the Energy Assessment fee refundable?

    Yes, if the appointment is cancelled prior to the scheduled visit. Please notify PECO at least 24 hours prior to your appointment by calling 888-573-2672 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. You can also sign in (PECO Energy Efficiency - Energy Assessment) to cancel or reschedule your appointment for a more convenient time.
